The high-quality backwater valve for wastewater containing and without faecal matter is equipped with a motorized shut-off system that closes automatically when backwatering occurs. A second shut-off system serves as a manually closeable emergency valve. The installation is controlled with a user-friendly control box, which can optionally be integrated into the building management system via a potential-free contact or can optionally send warnings and fault messages via GSM. Because the KESSEL system is modular, existing installations can be easily converted to the Pumpfix F backwater pump installation.

Particularly reliable with motor: unlike traditional backflow preventers, the Staufix FKA is closed by motor. This makes it also suitable for waste water containing faeces: not only for showers, washbasins and washing machines, but also for toilets.

The Staufix FKA is available in two variants: for installation in an exposed wastewater pipe and for floor installation. The latter variant is available with a black or tileable cover.

Working principle

During normal operation, both valves are open and the waste water can drain completely. When backflowing from the sewer, the closure is locked by motor, and after backflowing it is automatically opened again.

Installation kit for the floor plate

The backwater protection is available for floor installation and can also be installed in waterproof concrete with an extension with central flange and elastomer closing strip. The integrated drainage function ensures that supplied surface water, for example in the event of a pipe break, is pumped into the sewer despite backwater.

Comfort control box

Self-diagnosis system
The installation has a ready-to-connect Comfort control box with ZDS self-diagnosis system, a screen for displaying the operating status and maintenance instructions, and a connection option for a building management system. It can be connected without the help of an electrician.
