TRITHON INNOVATION VALIDATED BY ETV, ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNOLOGY VERIFICATION

This newly developed product is used for the treatment of run-off water. The innovation, the Microplastics separator Trithon, is designed to capture suspended solids and floating substances such as microplastics. This new product has been verified by the ETV, the European program responsible for controlling the performance of innovative environmental technologies. During natural settling combined with centrifugal force, the Microplastics separator Trithon captures solid particles. Placed against the selective walls, they focused on the sludge storage compartment. The treatment is also carried out by separating the floating substances (light liquids and solids with a density <0.93).

The Microplastics separator Trithon has a concentric composition:

• an external zone separated from the treatment compartments by selective walls,
• a 1st compartment through which the current penetrates tangentially into the system,
• a 2nd finishing compartment,
• a central access pipe to the sludge storage (for inspection and emptying).

The Microplastics separator Trithon is also equipped with an overflow management system that allows partial treatment in case of high flow (between 100 and 125% of the nominal flow). A technical platform is installed on top of the device that makes maintenance possible. This new feature has been verified by an independent entity to consolidate the results of its test base.
