Coalescing separator with sludge trap
As an importer of high-quality separators, we supply a complete and certified separator program.
To easily separate mineral oil from water, use a coalescing oil separator when discharging into open water. The size of a coalescence separator depends on the quantities of oil and water. A coalescence separator is used in places where there is a greater chance of mineral oil being discharged. Think, for example, of distribution centers, port areas, when washing passenger cars and trucks. But also at workshops where people work on motor vehicles or at a petrol station.
DWTN offers you a complete and separator program with CE marking. All our coalescence separators comply with the European standard NEN EN 858. This way you are assured of functional and durable products with proven performance and reliability. If desired, we will make the necessary capacity calculation for you, of course completely FREE!
Separators for all applications
We supply the right separator for every application. This way we always offer the best drainage solution. Fast and almost always available from stock. We supply the following types of separators:
DWTN coalescence separators meet the established requirements such as sludge and oil volume.
In addition to the coalescence separators, we also supply accessories such as alarm systems that warn you when the maximum oil collection and/or backflow in coalescence separators has been reached.
The coalescence separator
Oil and related oil products, such as gasoline and diesel, are extremely dangerous and bad for the environment when exposed. Yet it is these oil products that are indispensable to keep our economy going. These products almost always occur in vehicles, such as cars and trucks. Sometimes a leak can occur in the engine and then you can immediately see what damage oil products can cause. A large oil spot with characteristic rainbow colors appears on the road surface and is difficult to remove with water. Try to imagine what if such products end up in the environment and affect water and animals. This is also the reason why companies that work with oil products are obliged to use a separator. For example, a petrol separator is widely used in car garages, parking garages, petrol stations and car washes. This prevents petrol and diesel from entering the municipal sewage system or surface water.
How does the coalescence separator work?
Coalescing separators are also called oil separators or hydrocarbon separators with an additional filter. Hydrocarbons are the components in crude oil that absolutely must not end up in the open water. These hydrocarbons are discharged together with water and other oil products as waste water via a concrete tank, the actual petrol separator. Since the density of these hydrocarbons is much lower than water, they will separate into this well and rise to the surface. There is an automatic shut-off valve in the separator. This valve, also called a float, only floats on the water. The water will be drained through the exit to the sewer or open water. The more oil that enters the tank, the lower the water level will be. As a result, the float will also lower more and more. At a certain point he closes the exit and no more water can be drained. This is the sign that the tank is full of hydrocarbon and needs to be cleaned. There are separators with and without a sludge trap. Space is then reserved in the pit for the sludge that comes along. If this is not available, a separate sludge trap must be installed.
